Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born on March 4 1954 is an actress from Canada. O'Hara is the proud winner of numerous prizes, including an award called the Genie Award. In 2018, O'Hara was made an Officer of Canada. In 2020 , she was presented with the Governor General’s Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara began her career as an actress in 1974 when she was in The Second City, an improv comedy group located in Toronto. She was part of the main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) along with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. The next year, O'Hara and Candy began work in the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984) and she earned critical acclaim for both her work as a comedic actress and as a writer, securing a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for the Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
