Jennifer Rene Psaki
Psaki was the oldest of three daughters. She was the child of Eileen Dolan Medvey (Psychotherapist, 8] and Dimitrios R. Psaki (Greek, Demetrios R. Psakes), who were both real estate developers. Her grandfather was a Greek who moved to Greece in 1904 and her grandmother was of Irish origin. She was married to her parents in 1976. Psaki is also of Polish ancestry.Psaki graduated from Greenwich High School in 1996. In 2000, she graduated from College of William & Mary. She graduated with an education in English and sociology. She is an active Chi Omega sorority member. Psaki has been a competitive backstroke swimmer at William & Mary Tribe. Psaki's professional career started in 2001, when she was a part of the re-election campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack, a candidate for governor. Psaki was appointed John Kerry's press secretary in 2004. Psaki was also the director of communications of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary of Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC announced that Psaki will be serving as a Political Analyst in 2022's United States Presidential Elections. In 2023, Psaki will host a show on MSNBC's Peacock streaming platform.
